I don't really like the belt very much either.
In fact, when I finished this I wasn't too fond of it at all, but I decided that I liked it quite a lot anyway.
I've a hide of untanned belt leather lying underneath my bed, but I don't have a dye for it, so I just decided to go for the same type of leather in the end. Still trying to think up a way to make it less plain-looking though.
I didn't quite calculate how much it costed to make. I'd say that it costs about a half of a cow's hide. In price, that really depends on the quality of leather you use.
I spent about... 3 days I think.

To make leather black, put it in water with ironscraps in it. Works well too

I think I will try that once I get home.
My internet connection is still messing around though. I had 10 minutes yesterday before it killed itself once again. My modem seems to be mocking me, really.
Anyway, there's a guy coming to check the thing today, and I don't think my mom will let him leave before he did his job, so I should be back online in the evening.
In the meanwhile I'll enjoy the salvation of having internet here at school.
Shame they blocked the use of msn though.
