This is amazing!

I was wondering, do you take costume commissions? I'm interested in a leather costume and I was wondering if you took commissions.

Ooo! I'm a writer, and I could see a particular character of mine wearing this, though she'd stain it charcoal or black. She'd love the pockets. :)

That is fantastic! Nice use of the stitching for a wonderful texture and patterning.

i like how its divided into different sections on the bottom so you can actually run or ride a horse

I love it its really cool!!

Haha, thanks! I actually never gave thought to the possibility of riding a horse with it. :) It does indeed work well with running though. ;P

my character in d&d is a ranger so i like archery and riding horses

im making a costume for sca (society for creative anachronism) my family is going to be viking traders so im looking for ideas and your armor is the coolest and best one for what im thinking of doing. though it will be drastically different and take me waaaaaaaaaay longer than it would take you

That is just beautiful! That is really nice work. It looks like the pouches are part of the armor. If so, then that is a really smart way to solve the pocket problem. I always wear pants without pockets with my armor, so I have to wear pouches. They never look right. The way you integrated them into the armor looks great!

Thank you very much. :)
The pouches are indeed a part of the armor.
I just stitched them on there, basicly. ;P
There's two more relatively hidden ones aswell. (Not impossible to spot though)

Totally wicked!! but my god, how long did lacing take you? xD

Um... Well it's a rough guess of about 2000 to 2500 stitching holes. ;P Making those and lacing them took me about... 12 movies I think? (Yeah, I tend to watch movies with leatherworking to tell time.)

Definitely a labor of love then =D It really paid off though. Haha, yeah I watch movies and tv whilst book binding and jewellery making. Stargate was my latest conquest.

Yeah, watching movies is always a good business.
Lately though, I run out of movies I havn't already seen 10 times so I've downgraded to cheap series. :P

Aww, that sucks... I ran into the same trouble just recently and then Target announced their dvd sale 8D Now I have several new movies and have already watched them all :P I really want to grab Get Smart (the original series) but it's so expensive!

Er... Never heard of, to be honest. :P
I now watch the entire 90s series of Robin Hood, lacking better. But well, I don't really have money for new stuff at the moment so. :XD:

A bit of both, I think.
But yeah, mainly for LARP. :)
